the story

To celebrate Global Running Day 2025, Brooks partnered with SD to create a globally coordinated brand-building activation rooted in the power of community and collective energy. The goal: to unleash and amplify the energy of runners everywhere. 

The idea was sparked by a powerful insight: energy can’t be created or destroyed – it can only be converted FROM something INTO something else. And where do runners often find their energy? Music. 


That led us to the idea of capturing real and repeatable run energy, manifested in the gathering of audio (and video) of runners' footsteps from around the world. Those runsteps then powered an energetic new music track by rising EDM artist Sofi Tukker, released on Global Running Day 2025. Runners everywhere used the track to power their own runs, and shared it with even more runners, continuing the cycle of ENDLESS ENERGY.
