Overall Role Description

The Human Resources Manager will be instrumental in helping to grow the business and drive success. You will be managing and implementing human resources initiatives and programs and executing internal priorities. This role is expected to work independently to execute against existing policies while also proactively recommending new, cutting edge programs.



Specific Responsibilities

  • Advising employees and leaders on HR-related policies, programs, and procedures

  • Managing compensation and performance management systems and the link between the two

  • Ensuring the benefits offerings remain competitive, compelling and progressive

  • Supporting payroll, approvals, HRIS and auditing

  • Overseeing the talent acquisition function to include sourcing and screening candidates, interview strategy, offer processing and more

  • Ensuring accurate job descriptions are available and updated

  • Ensuring employees are aware of company programs, company culture and priorities

  • Performing new hire orientation and an effective on-boarding experience for new hires

  • Identifying and managing training for employee development, to include technical and professional development

  • Building out and supporting career development and career-pathing

  • Staying abreast of HR trends and areas of knowledge to best leverage at SOCIALDEVIANT

  • Developing workforce planning strategies and plans to ensure available talent matches client and new business needs. Maintain a proactive pipeline for future hiring

  • Ensuring external-facing social media and other outlets are updated effectively to drive potential candidate flow and employer brand awareness

  • Researching effectiveness of HR programs and propose improvements to policies, programs, and procedures to improve human resources effectiveness and operations

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, a PHR or SPHR certification preferred

  • Five years of experience in a human resources generalist role within a progressive and entrepreneurial environment

  • Passion for recruitment and the acquisition of great talent

  • Understanding and love of a “kind” culture and ability to identify DEVIANT talent

  • Ability and willingness to be a strategist but also the executor of many programs

  • Strong reputation as an effective HR professional

  • Excellent presentation, public speaking, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability and willingness to be a thinker and leader but at the same time a “doer” and idea generator

  • Above all, kindness, composure, and relentless curiosity
